a 440 kit will actually make your bike slower if you don't add a cam, pipe, jets.
It gives you alot more low end though.

Like everyone knows on this board is that you may go a little faster (1-2 mph) but you wont feel anything terrific until you change your gearing.

if you just get the 440 kit a lone it wont be a big differnce. i went the hole 9 yards. cam, vaules, port & polished.all the goodies i got. and i never been beating by any other 400 in my area. on the track and drag racing.

i just got mine back the other day. i put the wiseco 440 in mine. i really like it. it didnt add alot of speed, but it did add a considerable amount of hp and it accelerates like crazy compared to stock. i have bandit rears and it spun them like slicks until i got in 4th gear then it gripped up and jerked me back, almost off...but definatly worth the $. i figured i could always add more goodies down the road

your gonna have to change the gearing and you have a 250ex anyways so its irrevalant(spel?). a couple of hp max to top out and maybe faster if you get a overrev cdi.

If all you are looking for is speed, get a 16t front sprocket. It will increase your top end speed. Even though it will take you a little longer to get there.
If you do all the engine mods, you can run taller gears and have the power to handle it.
