groments

i had a problem loosing the groment under front side of seat.there is a little ridge that holds the groment on,that is worn off.so i compaired to a 400ex,and found they fit a lot tighter on a 450r,then the stockers...

I have never seen a 400ex with both seat grommets on when i bought mine one was missing and i bought a new one put it on and it fell off first ride after i put it on. those grommet things are notorious for falling off.

i had the same problem on my 250r i just drilled a hole in the grommet and the mount and used a flat head bolt never lost one yet

Yeah those seat grommets seem to like to fall out. I just poked a hole in mine and put a zip tie through it. Haven't lost them since like HiperEX..:D

I just glue them on.........

Recently a buddy of mine made some of his own at work out of delrin or something similar, its a hard plastic and it has the ridge cut in on the inside, so it actually clips onto the ridge on the mounts. Pretty neat setup.
