I am trying not to play the jetting game here so I am going to just ask. and yes I did a search. I have a 2003 400ex with the following mods.

stock carb with choke taken out
DR.D Slip-On (stock headers)
Twin-Air powerflow kit
im bored 40 thousandths over with a pro-x piston (stock compression)
air box lid on

just wonder what clip on the needle and what main? just any educated guess would help, this is my first time jetting lol:confused:

What elevation are you at?

A guess? Maybe middle clip with a 160 main and 42 pilot...

That's fairly high so you'll need to go a little leaner than some. I still might try my suggestion. If it seems rich you can remove your airbox lid and look for an imporvement. That will confirm if those settings are rich with the lid on.

Also, I recommend that you put the choke back in your carb man... It will not want to start on cooler days, even if you have a 42 pilot. That choke plugs that hole up so it will pull fuel through the pilot jet. I talked to people that have taken their choke out and they never could get their quad to run good, they put the choke back in and their quad ran great. Just my 2 cents.
