You guys know my story about my kx80 and was gonna get a 125 and are probably tired of hearing it well here is the final final conclusion i sold the kx 80 and am gonna put a down payment on a 2006 trx250ex.Watchu think?

dont waste your money, time, and effort with a 250ex, its slower then your grandma

I completely agree with 400exrules,
250ex is fine if you weigh 100lbs and don't know how to use a clutch but other than that they are underpowered. Do you have to have new? If your wanting a fourstroke, I would definately look into getting a clean used 400ex. They are a great quad for the money and sure as hell beat a 250ex in every aspect.

if your 14 not you definitly shouldnt get a 250ex its not worth the money. just go and find a used 400ex for 3000-3500.

Look for a used 400ex, you'll get very tired of the 250EX and 300EX. A 400ex is a great quad to start out on and it's a great handling quad.

But yeah...they're junk, I blew mine up

Pretty soon i'll be getting a REAL quad...(330r :o )

if all you've owned is a 250ex, your not gonna know what to do with all that extra power on the 330r lol

The 250EX will probably feel like a turd coming off of the KX80. I'd get atleast a 300EX. Heck, even a blaster would be better then the 250EX, unless you want to get away from two-strokes. If you decide to look at blasters, get a '03 or newer. They have Hydraulic brakes all the way around.

I liked my blaster better then I like my old 250X (about the same thing as a 300EX.)

No man, I have days and hours and hours of seat time on 450's, 250rs, the 330r, 400s, Believe me, I can handle it, I havent had that 250ex since 2002. A buddy of mine kept his 400ex at my house for a few months, and I was out on that everyday

dont get the 250ex....even with the new sports clutch or whatever. its not worth the money. definetly go for a 400ex right off. my friends brother went from a 100cc $hitty quad to a 400. he is doing great on it too...get a 300-400 or a blaster isnt bad

blasters are a little smaller then the 250s but have a hell lot more power if your looking for a smaller bike

I had a piped blaster and a piped 250X, the blaster was faster then the 250X and a lot more fun to ride.

My friend had a 250X the same time I had my blaster, and it WAS faster then his 250X (not 250EX). He had more experience then I did, but I would eat him up in a drag race.

i am talking stock for stock, i know the blaster will kill the 250 when it has a pipe.

Never get a 250ex, especially brand new. If your gonna buy a brand new quad do it right. Get a 400 or a 450.

You can find decent 400ex's for very cheap. I sold my '00 for $1800 and all it needed was a rebuild (rings would've done it), wasn't stock either. You just need to look around and find a good deal.

I have had a few quads and love riding but my favorite one i had was the blaster it wasnt the biggest or the fastest but it sure was take off like a rocket even tho it topped out fast but on it i could throw it around no problem and ride it forever without getting bored and compared too my 450 it doesnt have the speed but i would still say its just as fun too ride as most of the 400's, 250's and i have rode its basically a mini banshee and easy too modd and once you get into modding them its great!!!!!! check out www.projectblaster.com you can find some fully modded ones for the price of a new 250ex which you will hate the 2nd you get on it!!!!
