im interested in finding out how hard is it to put the yfz dirtbike motor in a 400ex frame and has anybody have one they have done. What do you have to do to the frame and motor mounts thanks Jonathan

I have done a few.
Just space the engine to the L/H side,install the corrrect size bushing .
Weld in upper and lower engine mounts.
An air box system and oiling system.
250r radiator.
Kicker extension.

Must have a welder access.
Not too bad,big diff in power!

If you are going to do the hybred I would suggest buying a conversion kit(yz426/400ex) and oil tank from SS440ex.I bought these from him and the engineering and quality are outstanding.Al is very knowledgable with what he sells and sends great instructions with his kits.
