I can get a good deal on a +1 Steering stem for a 450r... would that work on my 400ex? And also if it's +1 on a 450r, would it also be +1 on a 400ex or would it be longer?
Thanks

the +1 will be the same

the only difference will be in the tubing size used by the manufacture, some use the usual 400ex size with a new stem bushing, others use 450r size tubing at the stem bushing area(in that case it may not work on your 400ex)

the other area that can be different is the tie rod mounting plate. the 400ex and 450r differ slightly. the tie rod pivots enough to take up the different angle.

i have been running a 400ex stem with a new bushing in mine and have had zero issues

Thanks for the response. What brand of stem have you been running? The one I'm looking at is a Lonestar.

all i use are Burgard, he is so close it only makes sense and the price is right:p

i have not sold nor seen a LSR stem, but give them a call, they will tell you right there wether it will or wont work.
