Nextel vs. Verizon

What do you guys in your opinion from having either of the two or maybe both think is better? Verizon or Nextel. At my house i livve kinda between two mountains and don't have service with verizon but when my friend comes over he has perfect service and he has nextel!? so i'm asking you all which is better and wat do you have, compared to where you live?:confused:

I have Nextel Phone and I really like it. of couse i live in illinois and dont have a problem

all of my friends have verizon and they get service everywhere around western NY.

Around here most people have virison. It gets service almost everywhere. Not too many people have nextel, but I have heard that it isn't the best. But if I was you I would go with nextel because it has better service.

I have verizon and get great service. there customer service has always been good for me also.

I have a nextel, I get perfect signal at my house and all, but if having the two way is a major thing for you, I wouldn't worry about it. To me it is just a glorified one-way speaker phone. My friend has verizon and when we ride the subways to downtown, he always has service. The second nextel gets in the tunnel, its dead.

Plus Nextel has the worse rated customer service of all cell phone companys. I'm just too lazy to go back to verizon. I must admit, nextel has some good phones.

my big problem is the fact that i live in the mountains. And have no service with verizon so wat is the point to have a fone if you can't use it .. i mean do you think nextel will ever get ne better..

My brother had nextel then went to verizon, it sucks SO bad, I can never call him because I'll call him and I'll loose him..

He's coming back to nextel..

Right now I have a Verizon, but may be getting something else later.
