It's called grooving, imo a grooved turf is the best tire out there for how much turf tamers cost!

Yup thems are grooved tamers. They are the best tire I have run on my banshee, They hook up extremely well and they are lighter then alot of other tires too.

yes but if u go to a loomy track they suck. If its a hard packed clay type track u cant beat em.

How reliable is a shee on the trails? What would be the first things to buy aftermarket before heading out.

you can do anything you want on a banshee just like any other quad, I use mine for trail riding alot and it holds up fine, I did manage to crack my um skid plate today though :o

for mods..

I'd say some wheels and tires and exhaust

I would also add say to put some K&N air Filters, Take off the Air box Lid If you still have it on there, and Maybe some new handlebars.. I just put some new handlebars on mine and they really absorb a lot of the smaller bumps which equals less rider fatigue and more riding.

Yea, that's what I figured but a lot of people say they are really unreliable on the trails, especially the axles or something. Anyway, it wouldn't be advisable for me to take my box lid off because where I ride it's wet and muddy on the main trails.

The Only Thing I do Is Trails and the occasional sand dune and I haven't had any troubles, I did bend the rear axle but that was only after I rolled it 25+ times down a rocky hill... That was one of the saddest days in my life just watching my poor banshee roll over and over again down the very steep hill.... But I was very surprised at how well it held up after a spill like that, which was the worst crash I have ever had and the worst crash I have ever seen. Yeah but you should keep the lid on if your going to do mud.. I completely took out the whole box because I generally don't do very much mud just the occasional large puddle.
