the mod works awsome the cr500 link works as good as a aftermarket frame and cheaper now i can seat hop over tight corner jumps and handles the woops realy nice and jumps great and im smother than ever. i jumped a 60 foot triple right out of a corner and came up a litle short and the bike handled it verry good and last week i had a standard swing arm and worked stock shock that triple almost killed me i mean over the handle bars kinda thing but now i can jump and clear the triple with ease im a B rider so if your wondering. i cant get my pics up and going:D

That is brilliant, So How did you do it. I am defianently going to do this. I even have the parts lying around here. Will a stock 500 shock work? I have another question....Who polished your cases?

well plenty of nerves choping up yor babby. but well worth it the only problem i had was the aftermarket airbox got crushed by the extra travel thats why they run stock box withe caliper cut out.

Why pay big money for a race frame when you can doit your self all you need is a T-pin and a cr500 link and arm

As far as i know a cr stock shock will work and the motor is crome i did this at work we build custom choppers from the frame up

That looks great. Would it be too much trouble to post up some detailed step on this mod? I have never seen it before and I am sure that alot of guys would be interested in this type of thing.

Check your pms in a minute as well.

250-r-250 I dont think you can run the stock cr 250 shock. The Cr's piggy back rezzy mounts to the right side of the shock and wont clear the sub frame and if you flip it to the other side the air box rubber is in the way.

Got fear thats an awsome set up. did you have to grind a little away at the back of the engine cases like some of the old laeger
set ups or did you have the clearence?

GOTFEAR

GOTFEAR , nice job ...

do you have both inner engine cases chromed too or just the outer two ? i was wondering about same but i had aluminum chromed before and it seemed to react after a while as the alu oxidised underneath and the chrome fell away ... also if you did do inners did you have any problems with bearing clearance ??

GOTFEAR

this is a pretty well known mod however people are tight with information as people make a butt load making aftermrket frames and swingers to accomplish it. Another popular mod for the 250r's is a no link swinger. As to which is the better mod not many seem too agree. But either way is a great improvement over stock. But how about some better pics and instructions. I have been wanting to do this for a while but couldnt find any good info or pics. Share the wealth.
