Yeah we were supposed to go to Oak Grove that day, but we got up late, and it was a 3 hour drive, so we just went to West Monroe. Yeah we are going to try to make it to the race on the 18th.

Nice pics ..... man I wish we had red dirt around here .... looks like it would have a totally different feel to it . Around here a lot of the tracks are very fine sand ... almost like beach sand ... and it gets whooped out real quickly .

We all should get together one weekend and go ride at Start La, MX. My good friend Mark Grafton has kind of took control of that track. Me, Mark, and Jay Crymes are gonna get it going and try to make it a four wheelers only track. It doesn't have much technical stuff right now, just some small doubles, a small rythm section, a small step-up, a triple, and one huge step-up. Lots of long straights. I run my bike in fourth most of the time there. Just let me know ahead of time and I'll get it set up. It would be best to go right after a rain. It gets really dusty.

moto440ex, were you at the arenacross at the Centurytel Center?
Mark was on the yellow YFZ, Jay was on the Walsh CRF, and obviously I was on the KTM/Raptor.

Hey protraxrptr17 I wasnt able to make it to the arenacross, because I wasnt finished dialing in my suspension and brakes. But a couple of my friends on dirtbikes went. I saw the track though, I wish I couldve rode on it. Where in Louisiana is that Start La Track? I have a bunch of people that will come riden, your right, we should all meet up one day and ride. A buddy of mine owns a track in Minden, LA. Its called Full Throttle MX. He just opened it up on Feb. 1st. Its an awesome, and safe track. The owner rides 4-wheelers, but he lets dirtbikes on the track too. But its definitly made for 4-wheelers, so the dirtbikes dont really like it. Its got about a 90 ft. triple, a step-up, a couple tabletops, a step-up step-down kinda jump, and a couple other technical sections. I'm really happy to see more people comin out to the tracks on quads though. Last time I went there , there was only 4 quads. This time there was about 20. Thats not much, but its gettin better.

Hey blakefoote, that jump is only like 70 ft., but it shoots you up in the air pretty high. It was really fun to jump. The landing is acutually pretty flat. You would think it would be a rough landing, but it was really smooth. The berms there are awesome too. I love that red dirt. That was me and my buddy jacob's first time out there and we were jumpin everything by the 2nd lap. Its an easy track, but really fun.

Yeah, I've been hearing about that new track at Minden. It's open all the time, right? Bad to the Bone is reopening too. It's really starting to boom around Louisiana. You been to Plain Dealing yet? Jay says it sucks, but they supposedly made some changes. I'd probably like it because he says it's too easy. I'm slow.:D

Yeah I've been to Plain Dealing about 5 times, because I live about 30 min from it. Its a nice track if you ride dirtbikes, but its sandy and gets whooped out quick. I hate how rough it is. There is only one big berm, the rest of the turns suck. And yea its really easy. The only thing that is challenging is a triple, triple section. Yeah do you know how often Bad to the Bone will have practice now since the reopened? I heard they are only having regional races and a Loretta Lynns qualifer this year. Heard its a really nice track though. I dont know if Minden is open all the time, I thought it was just on weekends, but im not sure.

I don't know how often Bad to the Bone is open, but you can call 318-428-5067 and talk to BoBo's wife (I think her name is Renee?? BoBo owns Tuff-e-Nuff). She was telling us they reopened. It is also very sandy and whoops out bad. I haven't ridden it , but that's what my friends say. I walked it once.

Damn, makes me wish this snow would disappear and the cast would magically come off my leg as my ankle fuses itself back together. Those are some kickass pics and that track soil looks absolutely perfect. I'm red with envy. :eek2:

I assume Tuff-e-Nuff got rained out today? I watched the forecast all week and decided not to even try it. Probably going to try out West Monroe next Saturday if it's not raining.

The only way you would see the track is if you went directly to it. You probably saw Bad to the Bone, off I-20.
