web cam?

I was wondering if all web cams have something stamped on them? I have a cam for a 300ex-was told it was a web-cam, but has nothing stamped on it. How can I tell what it is?

I think mine had a wb or something on it with a number. and also if you look at the lobes from the side you can see if it has been hard welded. when you look at it you will be able to tell what i'm talking about.

do you remember what the stock cam looked like? nice shinny lobes-nothing stamped on it?
