im looking to buy one, and have no idea what i should be looking for. i want a XR50 model, that is tricked out. i want one that will handel my weight (220) and mostley stock, so i can put on the parts myself, or if its cheeper, just buy one that need motor work, but is hella trick. id like to be able to do some small jumps, but mostly just a drunkards toy!

so my question is how much would be a kinda trick bike?

how much is just a stock XR50, then you put on parts, what will be the total cost?

does anyone have pictures of their bike?

whats a good company to go to for aftermarket parts? thanks josh

Deff. go with a honda xr or crf 50

a good company would be www.minibikeoutlet.com

and what do you mean by "kinda trick" i mean if your just talk like little **** like suspension springs? maybe like? 1500?

If you start with a bone stock 50, doin mods can cost you ALOT of money because it can get very addictive.

heres my bikes, started out as a fully stock XR50, far from it now, like i said, VERY addictive

If I bought another mini, I would get a DRZ/KLX110. 50's are fun for street/stunt riding, but kinda suck at the track compared to the 110s.

My friend had a Sikk50 mini, but was pretty cool for the price.

yeh but i mean if you putt a 88 kit with race head on the 50, you will wax every 110 out there, idk just my opinion :muscle: :bandit: :macho

my 2006 CRF 50. I weigh about 215, it does fine. It has BBR 82cc kit in it. I also have a stock drz 110 with a pipe, the 110 is faster. This one is for sale......

My 110 will smoke my 82cc CRF, but I have seen some fast BBR 88's.

racing rice is right, the 110 is much better for a track, the 50 is great for slow wheelies and tricks.

a 88 is about equal in power to a STOCK 110, however the 110 still has more snap due to a better ignition setup, you wanan be smart with your money you will not a buy a 50 or any chinese junk, get a klx 110, there is way more potential, way more durable, and way more bang for your buck, trust me i been into minis for almost 10 years if ur gonan ride bmx trails, and street get a 50, if u wanan go fast you have to have a built 70,90 or 110

what engine with a clutch would be a good transplant for a TRX90?

well a honda, should bolt in.. is that what you had in mind? personally if i was going to build something non production, id use a klx 110 motor, they have 4 gear inside, however they use a 3 speed drum, buy the 4 speed drum you got 4th, a cam, a exhaust and a hydralic clucth and high comp piston you have a pretty quick engine

if your looking on building a honda check out www.hondatrailbikes.com they have good reliable engine kits from 70cc -118cc for the honda 50/70 motors along with clutches, either heavy duty autos or a basic manual, takegawa has some really nice clutch setups but they get expensive, it dpeends onw hat you wanan spend and how much work you wanna do.

id deff. stay with a honda based engine anyway. id really like the manual clutch so he can develop the skills needed when jumping with it.

id like to get one i can just buy and bolt in, with more power then a standard trx90 engine with the typical hop ups....and somewhat reliable if that exists

i beleive the engine mounts are the same, what are you looking to spend? and will there be room to kick it over? you dont need much u could use a shorter kicker and still have room

for the mx quad we want to assemble, i could cut the rear fender if needed. i thought at one time there was a 125cc manual clutch 4 speed on the market for like $650 (more then likely a honda clone) i was also told these engines did fairly well and responded to the typical performance add ons. what scared me was trying to find a good cam for a no name engine:ermm: etc

i think im just going to have to stop dicking around and get him a yfz, its cheaper in the long run and he can grow into it

here pappy this is the way to go for him then, i hear good things about these engine and the guys who runs the company, there is 4 different stages to choose from,

http://ahpminis.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=26_62&products_id=36 that is stage 1 stage 3 is the best, check it out tho 100c 4 speed with a big bike shift pattern

its basically a lifan bottom end, all overhauled, with aftermarket big bore , heads and what not, its a worked motor pretty much
