I am spoiled by the brakes on my sport bikes! I want better brakes on the 400ex. I want to be able to do stoppies whenever I feel the need. I want to be able to scrub off speed fast enough t make the blood rush to my head!

Cliffnotes* I just need to know how to make my 400ex brakes better.

steel braided lines, some better pads, and possibly some good rotors and you are set, id call up Streamline, they make the best stuff braking wise, im sure they could set u up with everything for a reasonable price :macho

250r calipers and adapters from baldwin or walsh

Or 450r calipers with 450r hubs and spindles.

SS brake lines and a streetbike master cylindar will do the trick. i've use a master cylindar from a gsxr on a quad before. ebc HH pads are a good choice as well. the remote rezzy can be mounted on the crossbar of the handlebars.

get the top of the line brake stuff and soften up the front shocks so they give more.

You can install a front master cylinder from a 450r,it has a much higher line pressure at the cylinder and will give awesome braking power. This mod combined with braided steel lines will give you outstanding front brakes!.The parts are available from service honda ,they are inexpensive and a exact retrofit.

Here is mine:
