freekin fan

ok i have a 04 yfz 450 and the fan is not coming on i pulled the connections apart and ran a wire to jump the two wires on the right side(sitting on the bike) of the radiator and still no fan i unpluged the fan and hooked two wires in to the fan and the fan spins, i know there is 2 resistors in there could one of thoes gone bad would that make it not work? and no voltage to the wires any advice would be appreciated

It is to my undestanding that the fan hardly ever comes on. Unless you are doing some really hard riding then it wont come on. But I might be wrong on that also.

just got done building my 450, my fan didnt come on either. but i made a jumper wire and hooked a battery direct to my fan and it didnt spin so its junk. ebay here i come. new assy is 200 bucks!!!

i just got my new 450 and my fan turns on ooooooooooo i dunno couple times i ride it just depends how i ride and about it wont turn on unless my motor's super hot could my motor be running way to hot? thnx for any help
