well i finally decided to get 450r shocks on my 400 and so far i love them! i havent got to ride on them much yet but once i get some more time on them i will let you guys know how they are. i got these off of ebay for $230 and they had already been grinded down to fit my 400.

WOW!!! that is trick! once you start jumping, you will probably have to adjust them better for your weight/riding style! i am gong to set up my Fox shocks tomorrow, so i can help ya out! congratulations man!:D

Bah your probably the one that out bid me on those. Are they off an 04? I won a pair of 06's brand new just waiting for them to get here. From the pic's it looks like you have them on the wrong sides, I don't see the compression and preload adjustment screws. They are supposed to face out.

no these are off an 05 but i think i bid on the 04 that you were talking about to!

yeah i thought that they were backwards but the way they were grinded down(by the previous owner) made it so they only fit that way. i shouldnt make a difference anyways should it?

hey i was wondering if 450r shocks work on an 02 400ex if so how do you put them on i herd about grinding and is the differnce noticeable

i have 450r front shocks on my 2002 400ex and they are awesome shocks compared to the stock 400 ones and if you rebuild the 450r shocks you have even better, some say that they turn out better then works and some other not so great shocks
