Packing core falling apart WB exhaust

The screen that the exhaust packing goes around has fallen apart on my E-Series exhaust.

The local motorsport shops can't get just the screen. I called WB, left a message and am waiting for them to call me back.

Any ideas to repair this?

I was gonna go riding this weekend.... looks like I gotta harrass WB till they send me a part .. then wait for it.

If possible take that part out and put it back together, it won't hurt to run it like that for one day of riding, and if you still have the stock exhaust put that on. i bet you can figure something out. that shouldn't totally stop ya from riding.

If you know a welder or can weld yourself take it & put it back together & throw a couple welds on it, we did that w/ one of our FMF's off our blaster it'll hold up for awhile!!

If you welded it, it would ruin it.

Brain Storming here..... I don't remember what it looks like at the moment... Here's a couple of ideas:

Use a piece of expanded sheetmetal, shape it into a tube, weld or wire it inplace....

Use a piece of tubing and drill a bunch of holes in it.....

Joe you got the best ideas so far. This part is not salvagable or repairable.

I made a tube out of sheet metal and pop rivit to the old core

well man, just wait for white brothers to call you back, they have the best service, well at least i think so. my e-series broke and i got it back and it was brand new. repacked and everything, so just call and talk to someone, they will help you out.

Trust me I'm hoping Wb is gonna take care of it.

I also had very good past experiance with Wb, but that was over a yr. and a half ago.

WB didn't call me back. I had to call them again, but they had the part. $13

I called 3 local motorsport shops and they said it couldn't be gotten. So $13 aint to bad.
