ive heard of the gas tanks having problems with pieces of plastic coming loose inside them and clogging up a filter in the carb or lines. look for this i can almost guarantee this is your problem

It deffinately sounds like it's not getting fuel from the tank one way or another. Check for a clogged petcock, try switching to reserve also. Dumb question for the day: Is there gas in it?:)

Also, check the gas tank breather tube for cloggs. Could be preventing the carb from filling up.

this is how i would do it

1 check your air filter make sure it isnt too dirty or that something is blocking it

2 check the vent tube coming off of your gas cap, if it is pinched or kinked it wont allow gas to flow out of a tank

3 clean the chit out of your carb, every little jet and orfice needs to be spotless

4 replace the spark plug with a new one any way even if the one you have looks alright

5 check the gas tank petcock clean the shiza out of it aswell

6 if all that doesnt help, go threw your electrical system.

good luck
