I recently bought a 400ex and I'm trying to change the sparkplug. I can't figure out what size of socket to use. Does anybody know what size of socket it takes and any tricks to getting the thing out? Thanks for the help.

I'm almost possitive it's a 18mm. An 18mm deep socket can work if the socket walls are thin. The plug wrench that comes in the tool kit is the best option. Pretty sure MotionPro and prolly others make plug wrenches for 400s also.

not all quads come with the tool kit. a new one will for sure, a used one doesn't always come with it. buy a real cheap socket and grind on it till it fits.

it is an 18 mm the one in the tool kit is kinda cheap if you grind a deep 18 pretty thin it will work good & with a stubby ratchet in there youll never want to use any thing else
