has any one had there lever go bad mine did
any one know how much they cost
it just lost all the threds and its not working:ermm:

yeah it happens. could be that the splines on your shift shaft are worn too. for a quick fix clamp your shifter in a vice and pinch it together where it goes over the shift shaft. then run a hack saw or sawzall through where the two sides join. this wouy you can clamp it down tighter on the shift shaft, i have a shifter that i have done this to a couple times.

mine just stripped out to..............I just bought a used one off ebay.

Why? New OEM shifters are only $20 full retail, probably cheaper through Service Honda. While we're on the subject, let's see who knows the difference between an 85-86 ATC shifter and one from a TRX. They are different.

I think he was talking about buying the shifter shaft off of ebay, not the actual shifter itself. The ATC and TRX shifters look very similar, I'll check the difference tonight when I'm over at my buddies house who has an 86 ATC250R and 86 TRX.

No, i just bought the shift lever on ebay. It was in good shape and got it for 20$ shipped

The Stock 450R is also a great replacment for the shift lever on a 250R.
