I straitened it easily in a vise.

I'll have a pic up this weekend of it with the bumper fixed :)

I bent it before I had my shocks done. A freind and I were riding on his track. He was on my 416 and I was on the R. He went backwords on the track and he hit headon. My R's breaks work so much better than the 416's and he was coming up hill so he was on it hard.

I stopped and he couldn't, when he inpacted he got sent into the bars and ended up breaking his wrist.

interesting, we ran a complete season on standard Burgards and it wasnt until we were almost ready to tear down the bike that the bushings started to go.

I didn't even have the shocks on yet and I was able to take the quad off the stand. I was told that I would have to grind the bushings down some to make them work. :eek2: I say no go for burgard

I know of someone who had the same problem on his 250R. I think the new ones are better though.

I had to spread out the tabs where the arms mount to the frame to get my Burgards in. But thats because the tabs were bent in a bit from from the stock arms. After that, mine went together smooth.

if the stock shocks is narrower then the aftermarket shock, the tabs would have flexxed inward and would need to be spread for the wider shock:confused:

ive installed and used so many sets of burgards and other then typical issues, they are not bad for a $400 set of arms. the new frap ball joint is stronger and will help those that ride harder then the 14mm ball joints can withstand.

with that said, ive had issues with $1200 arms so be prepared for small issues with almost any manufacture.

I am corrected, i was under the assumption he was refering to shock mount tabs.

If you look at the arms, they do not use a rear cross bar. this is the reason there is flex and why you will need to spread the arm to slide it into the mount. Burgards is not the only manufacture with this style and even on my LSR LT i had to do exactly the same as on a $400 set of burgards. it is inherent to the design.

Houser uses a cross bar and once welded and allowed to cool it can not move and on MOST quads it will slide in without effort. ofcourse ive installed a few sets of his also and know that that is not always the case either.

ofcourse i couyld say the same thing about the walsh arms i installed last week, or maybe the JB arms the week before that. install more then 2 sets of arms and you will see more to the "fitment" story then someone bashing a product just to bash.

I've read a few times about the heavier duty 16mm ball joints, where is the best place to buy these?

C&D Racing and myself are both Burgard dealers. If you want special colors, you can order them from me direct, or from C&D and I will handle the colors and direct ship.

I screamed so loud he finally made these arms for me:p (I dont know if thats true, but I did raise cain with him about needing a mid level arm for the market and he responded with them.)

There are many on the market, if these are to your liking by all means try them.

i couldnt agree more, and i am not comparing a $400 set of arms to a $1200 set, only the fitment. I have encountered the exact same issues with Walsh, Leager, Houser, JB, JRD LSR and a few brands that did not even have a name.

let's say you have stock suspension and want to race XC....

if you go with +2 a-arms and 4-1 offset wheels, will this...
1.) make your suspension more plush?
2.) be narrow enough for the tracks?

also, does +2 mean +2 for each arm? or +2 total?

just wondering, if i'd benefit with +2's.
i currently have the c&d triple rate rebuild...but have not ridden it yet. just curious as to how much of a difference the +2's make on stock front shocks.
