For a rider of Carmichael's talent, there are rich rewards. He has won six 250cc outdoor national championships and four in Supercross. Suzuki, according to industry sources, pays him $4.75 million per year in salary and offers $1 million bonuses for championships. Including endorsements, Carmichael's estimated income for last year was $8 million-$10 million.

I get NASCAR updates sent to my email through yahoo and that was taken from a article yesterday, it was talking about Carmichael thinking about racing in NASCAR.

If you have never noticed, motocross tears up your body pretty hard core. Maybe he wants to try somthing different. And right now NASCAR is the most popular sport in the country and the almighty $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is way higher in NASCAR then AMA not to mention again popularity

Last time I checked, you can't just "buy" your way into NASCAR. Well, unless you're a Menard.

Its not uncommon to hear about riders switching over to auto racing. Valentino Rossi has been toying with the idea of going to F1.

i think that if carmichael does deside to go through with this Nascar will become even more popular. I know i'll prolly watch just to see how he does.

I heard a few months ago James Stewart was interested in racing NASCAR as well. He even tested a Hooters Pro Cup car.

Actually the first black driver in "neckcar" was a man by the name of Willy T. Ribbs.
