Polaris has really stepped up this year with a new team of factory riders like Stephanie Parton and John Gallagher Sr.

As the national anthem played everyone's adrinaline was pumping for the start of the first race of the season.

The women's class takes center stage in the morning once again, now that stock class has been moved to the afternoon. Traci Cecco takes the holeshot with Stephanie Parton and the rest of the pack hot on her heels.

Ashlie Whaley battled in the top ten early but dropped back to finish in 13th.

Traci was out to a one minute lead after the first lap. And trying to start the season out with a win.

By the end of the 2nd lap Stephanie had pulled away from Lexie and was trying to catch Traci.

Kim Muzzarelli was chipping away a few positions each lap. By the last lap she was battling for a top five position.

Jennifer Albright was trying to hold on to 4th position. Kim made the pass on her way to a 4th place finish. Jennifer would finish in 5th.

Lexie was running strong early but faded late in the race for a 6th place finish.

After a slow start Stephanine Verkade fought her way up to finish in 7th place.

Kyrie Brafford is racing her first full season of GNCC on the 300ex the Traci Cecco won her first championship on. Hopefully it will give her luck. She finished in 10th position.

Angel Atwell made the pass on Lexie Coulter in the 3rd lap to take over the 3rd position.

Stephanie Parton cut Traci's lead down to about 15 seconds on the last lap when she bent a tie rod. She had to limp it in the rest of the way with no hope of catching Traci.

John Gallagher was on his factory sponsored Polaris Outlaw in Florida. It will be interesting to see how the new machine hold up on this rough track.

Cain Smead who was racing sportsman class on a Polaris Outlaw started with the super seniors and grabbed the holeshot. Bill Fischer was right on his tail with his V-Force.

John Gallagher would get tangled up in the first turn with Brian Vis and another rider. Not the prefered way to start a season.

On the 2nd lap Ken Vickerd made the pass on Richard Martin to take over 3rd. Richard would finish in 4th and Ken in 3rd.

John Gallagher opened up his lead to over a minute by the end of the 2nd lap.

Brian Vis couldn't keep up with John's pace but would finish 4 minutes ahead of Ken in 3rd.

Utility Modified is probably going to be one of the most competitive classes in the morning race. Cliffton Beasley grabs tho holeshot but with racers like Scott Kilby, Brock Parker, and the always entertaining Jim Stack on his tail the lead would be tough to hold on to.

Scott Kilby made up 2 positions on lap 3 trying to catch Brock Parker but ran out of time. Scott finished in 2nd place.

C Class starts are always filled with action. Derrick Stratton almost gets up ended as a couple of riders hit him from behind.

It was a back and forth battle to the end for Ronnie Mills and Brian Parker. Brian won by only 2 sec. It might have been the closest battle of the whole race.

Charles DeMent had the lead going into the last lap. He had trouble on the 4th lap and dropped all the way back to 7th.

Mike Penland's lap times dropped off as the track took it's toll on man and machine. He slipped from 3rd to finish 6th.

With Ken Robey finishing in 4th that left the door open for Woodie Terrell to take the win followed by Chad Hill in 2nd.

Sport Class
Billy Good has switched to sport class this year because the stock class has been moved to the afternoon. Billy's goal is to get his Honda 250X on the podium in the morning and to prove it is the rider not the machine that wins races. Billy took the holeshot with ease.

Billy made his way up to 4th overall and a 8 minute lead with 2 laps complete. He would have clutch problems on the third lap and finish in 3rd position. He almost made the podium on his first try with the sport class.

Kyle ran up front most of the race be slipped back to finish in 6th. His blisters made it hard to keep pace.
