Which exhaust??

Hey guys i just recently traded in my old honda 250x for a used 2002 400ex. so far im loving it its a huge huge difference over the 250. well im look to get a lil more power/ mostly a better sound though from it. I have a little experience wiht exhausts and ill list what i know. I had a black hmf slip-on on my 250x. it sounded good and looked awsome and added alot of power. my only problem with it was it was to loud for riding all the time where i ride. i even got the quiet core for it and it was still pretty loud and imo didnt sound all that great. so i was lookin at a hmf for my 400ex and he said that is out becuase he knows what it sounded like on my X. I know hmf and sparks are the best exhausts for the 400ex but sparks is to loud also. Recently i heard a 400ex like mine with a big gun full system. My dad said that sounded good and wasnt no where near as loud as my hmf even with the quiet core and this was the full race big gun. so im looking for somethin with the osund of a ig gun possibly a big gun. i found a place that sells yoshimura rs-3 comp full systems got 360$ and was wondering how loud these are compared to a hmf and a big gun. and what do they sound liek with the TEC inserts? thanks for the help

You might want to look in to a white brothers or supertrapp, cause you can adjust the volume on those by adding or taking out discs.

i got the yoshi comp series on mine. it sounds really good and with the quite core its not to loud. im not sure what it would do for a stock 400 since i didnt put the exhuast on till after rebuilding it. but it is a really good pipe.

i got an HMF slip on on my 400 and holy crap is it loud!!and its not much quieter with the quite core in it either.but it does sound good though

i hav the yoshi R3 full and its a really good pipe. its alot louder than stock. made a huge difference in power.

anybody have a comparison of the yoshimura and the big gun? which is louder and which is better? i will be getting a full system

I HAVENT HEARD THEM NEXT TO EACHOTHER, BUT I THINK THAT YOSHI IS LOUDER...MINE IS LOUD AS HELL...YOU CAN HEAR IT SEVERAL RIDGES AWAY...

My Big gun is pretty loud, I think it's louder than my buddy's HMF.:ermm:

I've heard the Yosh's are fairly quiet with good tone.

i heard the big gun on a 400ex and it wasnt loud ay all. sounded about as loud as my old hmf with the quiet core but sounded better. i heard people saying yoshi was a good exhaust and it was fairly quiet for beign and open exhaust and it sounded good. i htink ima go with a full yoshi but if anyone else has any other opinions let me know

i would go with the yoshi cuz my frend has a esieres nd its not much quieter then my hmf.
