06 sprocket gearing [Archive]

is anyone changing the gearing on there 06 for 18" rears. my 04 was perfect w/ the 18s but the 06 has dif gear ratios....

all you have to do is put a 14 on the front because honda change the fron sprocket on the 06 to a 13 so if, if you put a 14 and 18's it is perfect that is what i love it.

Ive got 13/38 with 18s and 20s in the front.

It shifts reallyy fast. I can get up to speed for any jump.

That is why i had to put a 14 on the front. it is a $23 sprocket from Renthal and it is great. They stock 13/38 is really bad with 18's

yea I had the same problem when I switched to 18" in the rear, the gears were way too short. I switched to a 14t in the front and am very pleased
