i have a 05 450R. the motor is stock except for the hmf full exhaust system. i want a lot more power to come out of this motor but i also dont want to work on it all the time. the kind o riding i do is mostly drag at a state park but i also like to play around. what is the best way to for me to get more power out of my motor?

KandN air filter, change the gearing maybe, piston and cam.

what size piston and cam should i use for the 450R?

use the stock size piston but hi compression. idk about the cam tho

HRC makes an awesome kit for 450R's composed of a cam, less restrictive exhaust, higher rev limiter, and higher-comp piston too I think. If you're at all concerned about warranty, this is definitely the way to go. Should be no more than $500 installed by your Honda dealer.

the guy i ride with just got a hotcams stage 2 cam and with that, full sparks pipe, and no lid, his 450r runs REAL good.

my friend just put in a 13.5:1 stock bore weisco piston and i believe a stage 2 hot cam. and going from my 400ex to his bike was kinda scary. but very addicting know im kinda dissapointed in my 400ex. but i also havent been able to go full throttle on my bike cause i just put my piston and cam in.
