I'm at 5000 feet and the temp outside will be around 50. I'm in Utah (Little Sahara to be exact). Wondering what the jetting would be for a 440EX with a 39MM FCR carb on it. I bought it over the winter and am not sure where the jetting should be at. It has a 150main in it right now.

Thanks

I would try a 168 main. 150 is way to lean. Is it a yamaha carb or a sudco made for a 400ex?

Im a little lower than ya. and a little warmer.

and I run fcr on a 416... so it may be close..

I run a 175 main with a 52 pilot I believe

Great thanks!

Have you ever had this problem before? The slide in the carb is getting stuck at different positions (1/2 throttle, 3/4 throttle, full throttle). I've determined that the problem is caused by Vaccum Release Plate wedging to tightly against the carb wall (pics below). I've tried using some carb cleaner and wd-450, but it doesn't help at all.

Have you had this problem with your FCR?

the plate might just be worn out, also does it have the seal on the back of it?

colby at C&d racing is excelent with these carbs. I got so sick of mine that I shiped it to him. When it came back it ran great.

I figured out my sticking problem. The vacuum plate was bent just a little bit and was hanging up. Glad I figured that out.

Which clip on the needle are you guys set at? The middle?

Thanks

I havent a clue as to where my needle is set. But seriously give colby a call at c&d. He can tell you off the top of his head exactly what you sould be running.
