They are pretty much the same thing. The Razr is a couple dollars cheaper. I say go with the razr.

i know razr2's are possibly the best front tire for xc, or trail riding, not sure about rears.......its a toss up between HD's, razr 2's, and razrs's. Im gettin new rear tires soon, so ive done some research and this is what ive gathered:
-HD's supposedly hook up decent, wear good, but dont hook great in mud
-Razr2s (rear) hook great in everything, hook great in mud, wear quicker then HD's
-Razr (rear) hooks great in dirt, doesnt hook worth a sh^t in mud

hd's do great in the mud, I got a face full of roost from a 330r when I was riding with my old boss lol..

He has used every tire out there and so far he still uses xcr rears or hd's and razr2 fronts..

razr's are nice till they wear down then the lugs just befome blocks where holeshots you can rotate em and keep them sharp.

supposbly holeshot did some home work and their new gncc tire is suppose to be the hot ticket now

Hole Shot XCR rears!!! they are a couple lbs lighter than the Razr and the XC holeshot!!! they hook up great on trails and have hefty side lugs for sliding on hardpacked terrain!

Holeshots in general are made with a softer compound, which enables them to bite better IMO (but, they dont wear as well!)

Razrs are typically a harder compound tire!

It really depends on the terrain you are riding in! those HD's are some tough SOB's!! unfortunately, the weight of them handicaps em for some applications!

Razr2 fronts are incredible for GNCC. i did a bit of research, and the razr2's in general are only a couple of lbs lighter than the HD's. yes, the HD's are heavy, but the razr2's are close to that weight anyways!!!

put an hd on you left rear and a razr2 on your right rear and settle this itp vs maxxis crap once and for all.

btw the original razr are one of the longest lasting tires on the market right now, its what almost every team uses for the baja 1000.

All tires grip well when they are new BUT the holeshots seem to grip better than others when they start to get down below 75% tread. HOLESHOTS :macho

It depends what type of riding your talking about. If you're talking 18 inch tires for MX, then holeshot is def. the way to go. But if your talking woods tires, I personally like razr's better.

a couple winters back I bought a pair of rear Holeshot XCR 6 plys and they were good...for the short time they lasted. IMO they wore out WAY to fast...but if you stay on the track all the time I am sure they will last a lot longer.

Right now I am running Razr 6 plys and have had them ever sense the holeshots...awsome tire. After 2 seasons of riding, they are still holding their own;)
