For anyone who knows , are thy 88 and 89 year spindles any different ? I need to Know asap , this is the only part holding me back from finishing my bike .

88-89 yr spindles should be the same.

88 spindles are different from 89, there is a different collar in the 88 wheel hubs than the 89s

They do have different part numbers, and there is something different between the two. I have never compared them side by side though.

Ok , well I have no idea which year hubbs I even have . How hard would it be to make them work , I know my quad is either an 88 or an 89 for sure ... Can I check the hubbs and find out somehow ??? I need to find out asap thanks alot everyone i really apprecciate it....

the part where the hub slides on is different on the 88 from the 89. i dont kno how to explain it but if you post a pic i and tell you what year spindle it is

89 hubs have a tappered bearing spacer between them looks like a cone. 88 hubs have no spacer between the bearings the spacer is built in to the 88 spindles
