Just wondering...
Since my steering is pretty tight...
I want to grease the bearings.
Just how hard is it to break-down and remove the steering stem?
Is it complicated?
Do I have to remove the plastics?
Is there some link that shows just how to do it?

It's not complicated at all. Yes, you have to remove the front plastic. There is an upper clamp, that has a plastic/rubber bushing in it, around the stem. Then remove the tie-rods from the lower end of the stem, and there is one nut on the underside/base of the stem. There is a bearing near the base of the stem (I don't remember if it is sealed or not). You could probably put a light coat of grease on that, and you can put a little grease inside the rubber bushing near the top. Then just put it all back together.
