Good Morning everyone! Just found some online reviews of the 700, but would like anyone interested to share their personal review (likes/dislikes) of this machine, which will help with the possible purchase of an 2006 700R.

Thank You all for Your time, help, and ideas.

Blows the 660 away in every way, have about 60 hours on mine the only 2 things i do not like are, the foot guards have holes cut in them and the rear wheel splash's the water right into your boot, and no res on the gas tank they have a warning light for low on gas but i would have liked to have both .so i rate it 99.9 out of 100.

Got a buddy with an 700 with YFZ front shocks, pipe, filter, and +2 axle and, I am really impressed. Front end is kinda twitchy but, suspension feels real good with that setup.

I've got very little time on mine yet...but I rode a couple of others before making the decision...and I am confident that I made the right decision for me. I am a big guy (6'2". 230lbs) and ride 80% dunes/20% open desert trails. I am VERY happy with this bike overall, but have listed a few specific likes and dislikes below. These are JUST MY OPINIONS.

The things that I really like are:

- VERY comfortable seat (no need to buy aftermarket).
- EFI (not as "snappy" as my 450R...but smooth and steady
power throughout the power band).
- Big bore torque (at the dunes I can put it in 3rd and just ride).
Even in stock format this bike pulls my around the dunes just
fine and lugs through the slow spots. My 450R...for example...
has plenty of power to get me around...but I'm shifting ALL THE
TIME. I enjoy just putting the Raptor in 3rd and concentrating
on riding.
- Wheelies (front comes up easily WHEN YOU WANT IT TO...stays
down when you want it to).
- Foot Pegs already drilled for Nerf Bars (I bought AC nerfs, which
bolted right up. The end of the pegs already have an extra hole
in them which allowed me to move the mud guards back 1/2 "...
which in turn allowed me to mount the nerfs right up with no
conflict with the mud guards).
- Overall just a comfortable feel for me.

The things that I don't particulary care for are:

- Fuel level warning light versus reserve. I prefer the reserve
switch that is an unmistakable notification that I need to head
back.
- Parking Brake is very large and not very attractive in my opinion.
It seems to work really well...but I'm not crazy about the looks.
- The cut of the rear fenders are a little extreme in my opinion.
Just seems to be a little over done from both an aesthetic and
functional standpoint. I've caught my boot on them more than
once as I was mounting up because they stick so far up and
so far back. This is probably due more to my age and condition
than the design of the bike...but since this is MY opinion...I can
state it anyway.
- Front Shocks fo not seem to be very good. I am not a racer...so
I don't require a $1500 front suspension...but they could have
least put some adjustable shocks with rezzies on there.
