those prices are crazy!find yourself a good welder and ask him to make you one for the fraction of that price.the sad part is alot of people will pay that money for those gates!

honestly a 1000 bux for a 5 man gate is not bad at all.

Dang, the 30 man gate is more than i bought my 400ex for. I would never spend that much on gates, though I'm sure they help you practice alot, but still. Keep lookin and find some cheap ones, or make some. Thats outrageous!

When me and my friends line up we just throw a rock way infront of us and when it hits the ground that means go.

the prices are not that bad....for the smaller ones it is up there...but ya figure you have a 40 man gate...thats 6k's....but you run say 3 classes there with 20 entries paying 40 per person.....your gate is paid off in a month just on entry fees and they last a long time....for the most part average joes like you and me dont buy them...thats another reason they are so high....

Hey i am not sure when this thread was posted but i found it in a search one day. I been looking around for a starting gate and they are asking way to much for the one from www.racegates.com You can make them for half the prices. I am making one rate now and i am hoping to be done with it this weekend. i thinking it is going to work awsome it looks really good at this point. It is for 3 quads and it is 54 inch for each gate. If anyone wants to see pics. let me know and i can post them.

Thinking about making some more and maybe selling them

I assume this means you used ama dimensions, what are they? Could you post pics of the drop mechanism? I'd like to see how you built yours.
