Wanna know something else really cool that will work on your 400ex?

400ex Shocks!

The 450R shocks are 1/2" too long eye to eye and are set up for different wheel travel. If you can live with that, go for it.

I agree with everyone that's posted. I had this setup on my bike acouple months ago. You'll have to grind some off the shock eyes and they will jack your bike up alittle high. Also the stroke and everything else is alittle off. You're better off buying elka recs and spending alittle bit more cash. Because if you did get the R shocks you should get them redone by GT Thunder and then they'll be more expensive than the elka recs.

I do not reccommend R shocks.

400EX Works shocks would be better than 450R shocks..........

Unless you have C&D rework your 450R shocks to work with the 400ex suspension.

BEST bet is to use shocks set up for the 400ex.

C@D Racing will not redo the R shocks for the ex. GT Thunder and derisi will. SPend the money on shocks for the ex.
