why cant i start my quad in gear anymore.. i always had been able to just pull the clutch in and fire it up.. now all of a sudden i cant. i have to put it in neutral adn i really dont know why. anyone have any ideas?

adjust your clutch...its easier to start when engine is warm and oil is thinner

mine always starts best in neutral.
i experimented with starting it in 1st gear, at a XC race.
hoping to have a better chance for the holeshot.
but guess what, it wouldn't start. i put it in neutral and kicked.
brap!! fired right up. then, i calmly proceeded to start the race in last position.

same here. once in a while it will start in gear but usualy it wants neutral.

Mine tries spinning the tires in gear if it's cold. I guess the clutch has to warm up before that really works. Once it's warm I can start in gear no problem.

If so some dont have the safety wire to know you have the clutch in and it just wont try to start.

Just something to think about.
