Sending Frame

Hey pappy im going to my best to get my frame shipped tomorow, thought id give a heads up

my frame didnt get there yesterday by chance did it, it said by end of day monday but figured id check

no sir, nothing comes on the weekend unless you pay extra for saturday delivery

yep it came this evening. it goes to stripping tomorrow so if they get it done thursday i can shoot it then or friday, if they do not get it back till monday it will be early next week

i over welded what was there, and actually joined the metal, and tomorrow i will try and sand it down some. i would have tig welded it, but there was noway i could do that with what weld was there:(

ye ai know it was pretty bad, a buddy of mine that works at a body shop did it:confused: then i attempted to touch it up , which was also the first time that i have ever tried to weld, lol

well its dark out:p

i have your frame on my bench, i have to go over the welds, fix any that i see, wash the frame and phosphate coat it, plug the holes and stem bearing then, if its not midnight, i will shoot it:p

in all honesty, it looks like it will be the first batch i shoot in the morning. i have other parts here that get the same color so i will do them all at once...if thats ok:p

Fire Red....its teh same as translucent red but a different powder and process

well, they look really close, with FR being a shade lighter and more red, where TR is more of a burgandy.

IMO, FR is a better process as it is only a 2 layer powder with the second layer being a clearcoat. i always had good luck with TR, but have had more consitant results with FR

They are not considered translucents, but dormants instead.

With a trans color, a chrome powder base is applied, then the color coat. With Dormants, the color coat is applied and then the clear(which activates the color as it cures)


Fire Red & Sparkle red are of the same powder family, but look different. Sparkle red is brighter, almost like cross between a candy and a solid color red.

you did ship it friday correct, did you get a tracking number, i know its only wednesday but it got to you in three days and this will be day 4. it still might come today but the ups guy usually comes around 11:00 and they havent seenhim today so i figured id check
