any handguards help...they keep mud off your hands on the muddy days, they keep some rain off your hands on rainy days, they keep cold air off your hands on colder days, they stop the boulders and sticks your buddy throws at you everyday. they are worth the $$$ for them...

Ya, i'm thinking about getting a pair now. I found a cheap set brand new for 42 dollars, includes mounting kit and sheilds. So i might get it now.

these maier handguards on my 400ex are only $29.95 from magic racing... magic racing (http://www.magicracing.com/product.asp?itemid=717&catid=312)

i am sure if you contacted one of the site sponsors, you could get a similar or better price...

the ones on the 400ex keep more mudd off than the powermadds or the new 450r ones...
