I have a tcs rear shock and I was wondering if i send it to TCS can they rebuild it to zps????thanks

Yes, you can send them to TCS to convert them to no preload. We had our ELKA's converted from zero preload to preload. So I dont think there should be any problem going the oposite way.

No. It does not necesarily have to be zps. When you purchase you suspension you are given the option of preload or zero preload.

You might not be able to do that. I have a stock rear revalve on my 250r, and when I sent them up to Baldwins to get rebuild, Mark told me that they couldn't make the rear zps. He said that the added pressure would cause the shaft to snap. But that is a stock revalve, you might be able to do it with aftermarket, and with TCS.

they are doing ZPS fine on stock shocks nowadays...I was gonna get mine done that way

well my rear tcs converted rear has a rilly skinny week spring above the big spring. whats that called then. is that considerd zps?

Yes, that is probably cause your rear shock is zero preload. I just had my 450r stock rear shock with preload and it is a single spring.

zps is susposed to lower you right? well the shock i got only lowers me about one inch lower than the stock 400ex shock would.

I just got my rear converted to zps and I'm wondering can you still take the preload springs out to lower the bike? Mine's to high, as yamaha yz426ex said.

Not trying to hijack thread either.
