Just wondering if any of you guys knew how many 250Rs were produced all together.

I believe I still have the article from the website that stated there were an estimated 500,000 produced within the four years. I'll look in my 250R file and see if I can find the article for the link to the website.

yep around 500,000 from what i remember seeing. thats a mind boggling number!

Hey guys, I remember seeing that number too (offroadhaven.com) But unfortunately its a little too high.

I saw a honda production report with ballpark numbers below. I don't remember exact numbers but they were in this range.

1986 - 35000 $2700ish
1987 - 18000 $2950ish
1988 - 25000 $3200
1989 - 9200 $4200 (It almost wasn't made because of the lawsuits)

The 500K number is inconceivable. If you check the production numbers on any popular current model the run is 45000, so 125000 is incredible.

You were pretty close on price, here's something from one of my previous posts.

I worked in a dealership when they were new, The '86 was $2648, '87 was $2798. '88 $3498, 89 $4098. The big jump between '87 and '88 was because of the value of the American dollar to the Japanese Yen. All Japanese vehicles went up considerably at this time.
