Best Paint ?????

What is the best and most durable paint to paint some parts on my bike. Don't say powder coat because I know that's the best but I want to know what paint is best. I wan't to paint things like the chain guard and my motor mounts I herd that some type of automotive paint is good but what holds up the best?

i used sikens on my frame and so far it is holding up great

use expoxy sealer, then prime it, ppg paint and put 3 wet coats of clear.

I am A painter at our motorcycle shop and the best-most durable paint you can buy is Dupont Imron. It is a polurathane based enamed that is used on fleet vehicles(like skid-loaders and bobcat/snowplow equipment. Clearcoating it will not make it any better because it will chip most of the time. I found imron to be the toughest paint, although most 2 part urethane or epoxies work the best.

i just painted my frame a metallic black and it looks sick, just to your local NAPA dealer and get urethane paint i got the stuff they use for loaders and excavators and it holds up really good

yeah i was thinkin about painting my rims black too..would that stuff hold up pretty good for rims?

cool, thanks man, that's some good stuff. Ur quad looks good. I was thinkin about using this stuff, I cant think of the name off the top of my head but I thiiiink it's rustoleum like heavy duty or something, but supposedly they use it on hardhats and stuff, and it's supposed to be real strong. I may try that out on the ole rims. How did you paint the rims? Did you have the tire on and just tape around it, or was it off, or did you deflate the tire so it was loose on the rim, and then tape it? Thanks.
