450R Front Sprocket

New to the quad scene, and I am loving the hell out of my 400ex.

My question is:

My buddy just bought an '05 or '06 450R and changed out his front sprocket... Would that sprocket fit on my 2003 400ex??

the rear sprocket will fit the fronts are different.
