Try to rejet once. i know that you dont have a pipe but these machines come way lean from the factory

the keihin fcr carbs have a hesitation...the accelerator pump covers permit only a 60% - 70% fuel charge in the pump chamber. Turn the throttle and air in the chamber is compressed and fuel is delayed. The result: Hesitation or Bog...
boyeson makes a cover that elimnaytes this...they call it the quick shot...they are on ebay and go for around 80 dollars or so...just search for boyeson quickshot

Would there be a need for a rejet if you get the quickshot? Just a install and ride mod?

just install and ride...i have found my 06 is lean anyway...

The Quickshot will make a differnce... no need to rejet with it.. unless you never have with the pipe you installed

Like the other person stated..the stock FCR Acc.pump cover is not 100% efficent @ letting it fill with fuel. Check out www.boyesen.com for more info

you may also want to adjust your timing on the accelerator pump. This is free and could fix the problem. Take the carb off and check to see your squirt time. Also make sure that the fuel doesn't hit the back of the throttle slide.

There is also another free mod that involves putting an o ring around the linkage of the accel. pump to get of the slack that could be there, causing a delay in the fuel delivery, and a lean bog. It is on thumper talk, all you need is a 7/16 o ring.

Try those, if not buy the quickshot.
