I was thinking about getting a 450r carb to put on my 400 ex and was wondering if anyone has done it an if it worked well

your local parts shop should have the 450r throttle cable for like $19. Servicehonda is cheaper but they rape you on s/h chrarges..You'll also need a 450r fuel line and a jet kit.

ebay.... you can find em pretty cheap.. like 100 bucks.

- only choke problem but it's easy to do a new choke level, a little of time to grind the 2 boots.... little hard to find the good idle without hesitation..... I order new pilot jets yesterday and wait to jet it correctly... no problem to jet the needle and main... pulling hard in high rpm but rigt now, my bike run with a big hesitation just after the idle.......

with this carb you should have no hesitation at all..I would check over my work if I was you..

the whole point of this mod is a crisper throttle response and ovbiously higher airflow..

I said the carb is'nt jetted correctly right now.... I ordered a 50 pilot jet...


what's your pilot and fuel screw?
