Basically it makes your engine rev higher. IMO i wouldent say get one unless your always on your rev.

no need unless you hit the stock rev limiter in your normal riding conditions.

they are a pretty nice improvment over stock if you take long in between shifts. You will win in a drag race if you have one and the other person doesnt. I have heard some of them make it harder to start, ( white brothers is the only one i can think of off the top of my head)

4 some reason my quad is totally jetted right and all but i have never used my choke on my 400ex even when its 5' degrees outside even with my white brothers rev box

ok, yes i would get a cdi box. it not only gives you 1000 rpms it also advances your spark curve. but is only noticable at lowend.

and the only thing they say about it being hard to start is that they only work with a strong battery.

BUT they tend to go bad. so keep the stock one just in case

NOT SAYING IT WILL.

I have owned the White Brothers, and now I have the Big Gun. I needed one after putting a new piston and cam in. The Big Gun has worked flawlessly, but the White Brothers needed a full battery, or it would not fire. It wold crank, but not fire, stock CDI back on and itwould start no trouble. If your gonna get one go with a Big Gun. It also gave me some more low end torque, inportant in XC racing.

the only difference between the white bros and big gun is the sticker on it...i had one...killed 2 batteries in one day...took it out ...sold it...my frined has one in his 400ex...mine still runs better than his

if you are going to get one, which i do not necessarily recommend unless you run an aftermarket camshaft at minimum, get a gt thunder.
