Will a 300 ex axle work on a 250x?

I have a buddy that bent his axle on his 250x and he was wanting me to find him a stock 300ex axle becuase he said it would fit. I don't know much about 250x but I figured you guys should be able to tell me if it would fit before I found him one. Thanks alot Paul

The 250X and 300EX are really similar. Most things will swap from one to the other. Axles, carriers, A-arms, shocks, fenders, hubs, just about anything. The only real differences between them are inside the engine, everything else is almost exactly the same.

However, the 250r is radically different. A 250r axle will not work on a 250X. The only things that will swap are the things that swap between ANY honda, like wheels, and even that's not always true because in 1987, the 250X had a different bolt pattern on the front wheels than any other honda.
