I just bought a '00 honda 400ex and im not sure what pipe will b the best upgrade.

everyone is going to say HMF so i guess HMF

Aye, most of the pipes are great. Just avoid Cobra, DG, and the cheap FMF's (the higher end FMF's are good).

Just figure out what you want and select the one that fits you the best.

List of things to consider.
Sound: dB requirements? Need a quiet pipe, or is a louder one ok? or do you want one that is louder, buy also has a quiet core to make it quieter when needed?

Do you want a slip-on for good performance, or a full system for that extra edge?

Looks or function more important?

Tunability (diffuser system?

Is a spark arrestor required (or a good idea) where you ride?
