Lakes Motorsports in MI has bolt on nerfs for the etons. Anyone ever use them? Seems most here run the AC which are weld on. Any advantages/disadvantages either way?

Thanks-
Dennis

I have the weld on AC's, The bolt on kind will be easier to install and a do it yourself. If you can weld or have a friend then pick what you want. I'm sure Mike at LMS can sell you both.

I would recomend the AC's. We had a set of bolt ons that I got cheap from someone going out of business. They fell apart in no time. The AC's are holding up just fine.

That's my concern is how well the bolt ons will hold up. I've heard nothing but good about the AC's. And not much at all about bolt ons.

I've heard of a few folks breaking their bolt-ons, we run the welded ac's and have had no issues. Check with hellbound racing for the cheapest price on ac's.

Been there done that the bolt ons are very heavy also the pegs were not very sharp we had to sharpen them with a die grinder. I would call Hellbouund Racing. 127.00 Tell them you want them for a Kesea.

the bolt os you are talking about are dangerous, you cannot put any weight on the nerfs themselves just the footpegs. we broke the foot pegs off 3 times on a bolt on set.

Are the weld-ons still ATVA legal? I know I've seen some at the EDT nationals, but I thought that welding wasn't allowed.

Thanks for all the info. Looks like I will be contacting Hellbound and finding a welder. Add it to the project list.

Thanks-
Dennis

Hellbound seels them on ebay for $129.95 but they are usually listed as Kasea Mini Quad nerf bars.

AC Racing is making nerfs for Kymco now. They are bolt ons. They use the stock mounts for the floor boards and look really sturdy.

I posted pics in the Kymco forum
