Question on Weisco 440 kit

I bought the Weisco 440 kit about two months ago and it is just sitting in my closet. I heard some rumors that it only has like 8:1 copression and you need to deck the cylinder. Is this true? About how much would a local shop charge to bore, rsleeve, and deck the cylinder?

The shop that did mine (local guy) valve job decked cylinder comp at 11/1 degree cam valve springs anything it needed basicaly charged 573.00 for install I bought kit myself.

And yes the comp is low but my guy and any other quality motor builder can raise the comp to what you need. With the wiseco kit the piston sits to low in the head. There is a great thread in here about that problem and how to fix it It is not a big deal.
