Sounds great! Are you planning on getting a new front sprocket as well? It is recommended that when you get a new chain to also get new front and rear sprockets. Renthal makes an excellent front sprocket. The Renthal rear is an aluminum one compared to your steel stock one. The Renthal rear (as well as other aluminum ones) is much lighter than the steel ones:cool: , but you may find that they wear faster:( . Whether you go with a 14/38 or a 15/38 (stock combination) sprocket setup, you will need the same amount of chain length.:)

Good luck!

Well there is a good deal on JT Sprokets and EK chain from magic racing. It is about what i want to spend on sprokets and chains. I want that or if i can get some side winder setup for more and it has a lifetime warranty then i will go with them. I dont want to spend a bunch on sprokets that wont last if i am going to spend over 80 bucks i want them to last for ever thats y i want side winder. Thanks

Also 14 tooth front will be geared to low for when i get 18inch tires wont it??

lemme say this, x-ring rocks. they are weay better than the standard o-ring and you can get them in like any color if you look in the right place! Happy Quaddin'!

Well, both my SideWinder rear stainless steel sprocket broke on me and had 3 other stress cracks, and I replaced my SideWinder with a DID X-ring chain.... So I do not think I would recommend SideWinder:grr

Yeah, I think a 14 tooth and 18" rears would be a bit too much.

That is the setup that I currently have on my 400, but if money is tight, you can still get a good o-ring chain and a steel rear sprocket for less money, but I still highly recommend the Renthal front sprocket.... It will take most of the abuse!:) I don't know much about the Renthal aluminum rear sprocket, other than that is what I am running now.... But I just replaced my aluminum SunStar rear sprocket from my 300ex that lasted some years of my abuse, so I would think the Renthal would match, if not surpass the SunStar.:)

Good luck!
