I am sitting here watching the young Mike Tyson on ESPN Classics and was wondering who do you all think is the greatest all-time boxer?

I say Sugar Ray.

IMO you cant really have the greatest boxer of all time cuz all boxers had their great era's....but they all had different styles and you dont know how each one would against some1 from a different era...personally i like ali but there were alot of greats

Rocky Marciano, 49 wins, 0 lost, 43 KO's

Gotta say Ali being a Kentucky Native. His cocky swagger made him even more poplar

I'm going with Tyson on this one . I personally think that when he was in his prime , he was a better fighter than Ali .

idk.................it would be a great fight, to have ali and tyson back in there primes again, and have them fight each other

tysons prime was at to young of an age. ali was the smartest fighter to ever live and with ease would of beat tyson every round IMO.

now if tyson had a different head on his shoulders and didnt fight 20 fights a year when he was 18-20 years old then it would be another story

Ali vs Tyson would in their primes would be a great fight, but I think a better fight would be Ali vs Lennox Lewis, both are smart and athletic so it would be a super good fight or be a 12 rd decision with the whole crowd asleep.

Lennox Lewis is a chump afraid to fight anybody and always whining about something. With his size he should be unstopable. Ukranian boxers Wladimir Klitschko and his brother Vladimir Klitschko are 2 tuff heavyweights :macho

I think tyson in his prime would be the best. Just look at him, hes f'in huge. I agree there has been smarter boxers (like probably all of them) but just for sheer strength and power, hes the man.

Yeah but when Tyson and Lewis fought, Lewis was at the top of his game and Mike was a mental wreck swinging to rip his head off. Lewis sat back and picked his shots wisely and punked Tyson permantly.

03-08-2006, 07:32 PM
Ya that is true, i wonder who has a harder shot Ali or tyson?

03-10-2006, 10:41 AM
tyson hits harder then ali...tyson was the most feared fighter for the longest time, witch in my eyes makes him the best ever...i think boxing is alot like rock paper scissors...there is no one that is "the best" but there are fighters that dominate most

Anyone hear about that new russian fighter?? hes like 7 foot something and 300 pounds...look him up on the internet

Has anyone played Fight Night Round 3? I bought it for the X360, it is awesome. But back to fighters, I would sure like to see the next Tyson like fighter step up. Right now the heavyweight division is a joke, no clear cut dominator like in the old days.
