I dont want to get raped by the dealer so I am gona try to fix it but cant see whare the pieces came from. Any help would be great. does the bearing look cooked on the flywheel ?

No idea about the bearing, too hard to tell from the pics, try putting it down on something flat, and use something like a tape measure to compare hights around it.

Those pieces look foreign to me... something in there must be missing peices somewhere...

I wish you luck in your repair job, glad to see you are trying to fix it yourself. Sorry I couldn't help.

thanks for your help im gona tear down the flywheel\bearing part and remove the windings and see if I can find whare the metal came from . if I find out it was the bearing on the flywheel and replace that should I be ok to run it or is there a great chance that there is metal pieces in the rest of the case ?

Those pieces of metal look like heavy duity staples or hooks, no idea where they could of came from. I reccomend getting a clymer book to help you.
Good luck.

I don't really see any damange on the engine its self. My guess it came from the fly wheel. Like i said get a clymer book, it shows you how to do all of these things and more and they are only like 25 bucks.

I think it is the starter clutch ! I will look at it but after surfing around I belive that is the problem .

well I am pretty sure the starter clutch is bad , what do you guys think of the flywheel, is it useable or should I just get all new parts ? http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/DRTRAYDEUCE/badb2.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/DRTRAYDEUCE/badb1.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/DRTRAYDEUCE/badb3.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/DRTRAYDEUCE/badb4.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/DRTRAYDEUCE/badb6.jpg

IMO i would get a new one if you have the money. If you don't that one should work but might give you some problems later on.

Go on the safe side and replace it. You don't want to go through it again, hopefully.
