Polish Stock 400ex wheel hubs?

Wanted to see if anyone has stripped the paint from stock hubs? I think they would look great just polished aluminum. I am not going to pay $300 for billit hubs! Thanks for replys~~~Mb

I think the red looks good.
The hub wouldn't stand out if it matched the rim.

Just got them stripped. The aluminum is VERY rough under the paint. They prolly paint so they dont have to polish. I plan to use die grinder w/ buffer pads to make them shine some. Yeah, I guess they may look better red , but mine will be different! MB

i want to paint mine black, anyone ever make a color change to theirs? how did you do it?
